We are seeking a highly organized, versatile, team-oriented person to join our team as a Job Captain at our client site in Cupertino, California. This role focuses on the timely and accurate production of project deliverables from design development thru construction.

What You'll Do
Research, review and implement CBC & IBC codes
Partner with Project Manager and help guide designers in producing and issuing accurate sets of construction documents as well as other required client deliverables
Perform site surveys & punch walks
Coordinate with landlords
Coordinate with MEP and Structural consultant teams to ensure complete and timely project delivery
Lead, mentor and train designer team
Issue construction documents for bid and permit
Address plan check comments from local jurisdictions
Perform job site visits to review progress of construction; prepare and issue field reports
Participate in various aspects of construction administration; respond to RFIs, revise drawings based on RFIs, bulletins and addendums, and review submittals
Travel may be required
Minimum Qualifications:
Degree in Architecture or relevant field
Minimum of 5 years of experience in the industry
Proficient in Revit
Knowledge of building codes and ability to implement into construction drawings
3 years of experience in Retail
Bluebeam, SketchUp, Photoshop experience
Actively pursuing licensure
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with:
Nationwide retail roll out and/or luxury retail brands
TI and/or ground up retail projects
Space planning for retail stores
Retail store concepts & design
Implementation of prototypes
Custom detailing
Leading a small team of designers
Soft skills include:
Strong organizational and communication skills
Ability to handle multiple projects in various phases
Implement efficiencies and ways to improve production methods
Ability to work on various brands in a fast-changing environment
Work for a multi-office/multi-time zone company
Supporting and pass along knowledge to team members
Communicating changes in project scope or schedule
Delegate tasks and provide direction to junior staff and designers

Compensation: $85,000 - $102,500
