MBH Architects is proud to announce that Miller & Lux, the upscale steakhouse located at Thrive City in San Francisco's Mission Bay neighborhood, has been shortlisted for the 2023 Restaurant & Bar Design Awards. As the Executive Architect for this food and beverage project, MBH Architects was tasked with bringing to life the overall restaurant design concept envisioned by renowned designer Ken Fulk and celebrity chef Tyler Florence.
Inspired by the iconic Hollywood restaurant Chasen's, the design team at MBH Architects has created a space that exudes mid-century modern glamour, paying homage to the upscale restaurants that chef Tyler Florence frequented during his upbringing. Spread across two floors, the 7,000-square-foot waterfront restaurant offers guests an immersive and ceremonial steakhouse experience.
Miller & Lux's interior is a testament to elegance and sophistication. The space is adorned with brass-accented millwork and dark marble finishes, featuring a warm caramel and gold color palette. The plush circular booths, custom-cut dining tables, and carefully curated lighting create an inviting ambiance that sets the tone for an unforgettable dining experience.
With a seating capacity of 147, Miller & Lux also offers a private dining room for intimate occasions, table-side service with food carts, and an outdoor patio for al fresco dining. Guests can indulge in the finest cuts of meat while enjoying the stunning waterfront views. Whether it's a special celebration or a leisurely meal, Miller & Lux promises to deliver an exceptional dining experience that combines impeccable service with a touch of old-world charm.
